A movement has been forming to end the sexual exploitation of women and children that is rampant in our city. Churches, government, marketplace leaders, and non-profits are collaborating to raise advocacy, develop preventative programs, and build a holistic secure community for rehabilitation for those coming out of child prostitution.

To educate a largely uninformed Phoenix a documentary exploring the realities of child prostitution has been produced with the help of various local non-profits. The objective of the documentary is to both inform and motivate the average Phoenix audience to tangible, purposeful social action. www.brandedphx.com

In addition to raising awareness and creating harsher laws for perpetrators, plans are progressing for the building of a safehouse, a Village of Hope, where rescued girls can find safety, healing and hope for their future. The vision for this village of hope is an innovative and unprecedented move to open the first U.S. based long-term safe house providing a holistic, supportive, community for the underage, victimized and abused girls. This home would provide a secure community with respect, empathy, sincerity, and safety twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week to child victims of forced prostitution.

More information about the safe house, advocacy, and prevention can be sent to you.
